Welcome!

Dr. Drolet uses experimental design and quantitative analytical methods to study human behavior.

I am a researcher with a PhD in Social Psychology.

As a researcher, I have a passion for solving problems. After 8 years of research experience (including graduate training) with both online and in-person data collection methods, I have developed a strong background in research design. I have designed both experimental and observational studies, utilizing largely quantitative methods for examining a variety of outcomes related to human behavior and perceptions. Statistical techniques that I have used for analyzing data include, but are not limited to ANOVA, linear regression, structural equation modelling, and path analysis. Moreover, I have learned to organize and analyze data using many different programs, including SPSS, MPlus, Amos, MatLab, and R. In addition to my statistical background, I have experience with several programming languages, including javascript, HTML, CSS, and some Python. I also have a great deal of experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including writing and using macros and field codes.

To get a better idea of my level of experience in each of the areas mentioned above, I invite you to take a look at some of the other pages on my website. Below I have prepared a quick guide that explains what you can expect to find on each page.

  • Career: My most relevant and recent job experience is described, as well as the major projects I completed for each of my degrees.
  • Publications: Previews and links of all of my peer-reviewed publications are included on this page. If you would like to see the complete manuscript for any of my publications, I am more than happy to provide them!
  • Presentations: These are PowerPoint presentations that I presented at a number of different peer-reviewed conferences. If you click on the gear for any of the presentations you can also see the presenter notes, which will provide some additional information beyond what is on the slides.
  • Posters: I have created a slideshow of some of my more recent poster presentations from peer-reviewed conferences. If you click on any of the images, it will start a slideshow that includes links to the full-size posters.
  • Coding: Examples of my programming and analysis experience are provided for several different scripting languages.
  • Instructional Docs: These are documents that I created to explain how to perform certain technical tasks for survey construction, as well as some info-graphics that I created to disseminate research findings to a non-academic audience. All of the documents were created with the intention of making them accessible to both academic and non-academic audiences.
  • Contact: I have provided both my email address and a contact form for contacting me if you have any additional questions.
